Ty Cobb T206 Polar Bear Back Highlights 100-Card T206 Hit Random Break

Have you ever wanted to own an original T206 tobacco card from 1909-1911? We're talking about the iconic baseball card set where the famous Honus Wagner card is from! We just listed a 100-card Hit Random and every single card is from the T206 set. Read how you can take home one of these vintage treasures.

  • 100 T206 cards are in the break
  • Ty Cobb Bat Off Shoulder version with a Polar Bear Back graded SGC 1
  • Tris Speaker graded SGC 3
  • Chief Bender graded SGC 2.5
  • Frank Chance graded SGC 3
  • Miller Huggins graded SGC 3
  • Elmer Flick graded SGC 3
  • Chick Gandil graded SGC 3
  • + 93 other T206 cards in the break!

The 1909-11 T206 tobacco set is one of the most iconic sets in the hobby. Tobacco companies placed advertisements for their products on the back of the baseball cards, and then inserted a card into their tobacco. When you were a kid, you would rip into wax pack and find a stick of gum with your cards. Your grandparents found their baseball cards in packs of cigarettes! My how times have changed.

  • Found in a variety of tobacco products between 1909 and 1911
  • The first mass-produced set of baseball cards
  • 524 cards in the set
  • 38 Hall of Famers featured  - variations bring the total to 76 cards of Hall of Famers
  • 16 different backs
  • Contains the "Holy Grail" of cards: Honus Wagner. This is one of the most rare and valuable cards in the world with one selling for 6.6 million dollars.

We have 100 T206 cards and are offering you spots in a Hit Random. The "hit random" break is a style in which these 100 T206 cards will be given out in random order to every person in the break. This allows for each spot to have the same odds for you to take home the "hits" of the random. As you can see above; there are some BIG hits!

The cards you see in the pictures here are a few of the exact cards in the break. Above you'll see a the Chief Bender, Ty Cobb, and Tris Speaker cards. All three Hall of Famer cards have been professionally graded by SGC. Look at the color scheme in the sky behind Ty Cobb as he holds his bat in the middle card; fascinating color for a card produced over 100 years ago! Cobb had some stellar seasons when the T206 cards were produced. In 1909, he won the Triple Crown by leading the league in batting average, home runs, and RBI. He followed that up in 1910 with a .382 batting average. In 1911, Cobb won the MVP award. Talk about a HIT in this break!

As there are 100 T206 cards in the break, only 100 spots in the break will be sold - this ensures that you will take home a card from the set. The list of names is always randomized LIVE on the show as the break occurs; you have the same chance as everyone else in the break to land the cards you desire. The list of cards will be randomized and the list of names will be randomized.

Every spot you purchase will bring a T206 card set to your personal collection. When you hold a piece of hobby history in your hands, just think - that card was made when you could rent a three-bedroom house for $15.00 a month. You can't find a pack of baseball cards for 15 dollars let alone a house!
