Santa Claus Suit Relics in 2021 Topps Holiday Baseball is Christmas Fun

Santa Claus Topps Card Dylan Penge

The rarest relic card ever? Just in time for Christmas, Topps is putting pure joy and fun into 2021 Topps Holiday boxes that includes inserts with a piece of Santa's suit!

How many packs of 1997 Upper Deck baseball did you open to try and pull a Ken Griffey Jr Game Jersey card? You haven't stopped chasing relic inserts since and even love modern hits like the Babe Ruth relics we pulled from National Treasures baseball.  Perhaps the coolest and rarest relic card of all-time is available just in time for the holidays!  Topps some how, some way managed to get their hands a suit from Santa Claus!

Exclusive to Walmart,  2021 Topps Holiday boxes are $21.98 and come with 10 packs. Each pack has 10 cards along with 1 ornament card.  There are holiday short prints, too, which may have a Santa Hat on your favorite player, or candy cane bat, or what's more fun than a snowman hiding behind Ronald Acuna Jr?  The variations are easy to spot but you can always check the codes (the number on the bottom right on the back of your card - the last three numbers) for:

  • Base Cards – 420
  • Short Print Variations – 426
  • Rare Variations – 427
  • Super Rare Variations – 428

Beckett has a nice page with a picture of all of the Holiday variations here.

There is one hit in each box - either an auto or a relic.  The super rare relic is AWESOME and quite magical.  Inserted 1:16,205 packs is a Santa Claus suit relic!  How in the world did Topps get Santa to give up his famous red suit? We're betting a lot of milk and cookies...   We'd love to stay up late this Christmas Eve and ask the big guy but we know the rules: if you're not in bed early on Christmas Eve, Santa may not come.

Thank you to Dylan Penge, a card collector himself, for allowing us to use the photo he posted of a Santa Suit relic he pulled!

Oh. my.  If we pulled this card it would go straight into a one-touch.  Overnight to PSA.  After all this is Santa's suit.

We were not lucky enough to pull a Santa suit relic but we found some holiday fun in our box:
