Logal Paul once spent $3.5 MILLION dollars on what he thought was a box of first-edition Pokémon cards. Unfortunately, Logan paid for a fake box; every pack was of worthless G.I. Joe cards. Vintage Breaks is here to help prevent you from meeting the same fate!

When Logan Paul realized the first edition Pokémon sealed case he purchased for $3.5 million dollars was FAKE, the hobby went into a frenzy right along his side. Unfortunately, we may have all been in Logan's shoes at one point. Perhaps, a wax pack you purchased at a local show was resealed and you didn't know until you got home. At Vintage Breaks, we aim to prevent you making the same mistakes.
First, we recommend buying packs already authenticated by PSA.
High-end, vintage packs on our site are authenticated and graded by PSA. Much as you get a card graded, PSA will grade and authenticate packs. Wax, cello, and plastic foil packs can be sent to PSA for grading. As you read through the process, PSA states they have a "dedicated team of research specialists identify the pack, including unique variants such as error packs or the item’s origin of distribution.", and "A dedicated team of sealed product authenticators at PSA carefully reviews your packs for authenticity and inspects the integrity of the seal." PSA touts two dedicated teams review the packs: one for research and one for authentication. Above, you can see a 1970 Topps baseball cello pack and a 1975 Topps basketball wax pack that are currently offering breaks into here at Vintage Breaks. Both packs are authenticated and graded by PSA.
If you're hunting a valuable card such as a 1979 O-Pee-Chee Wayne Gretzky rookie card, we make certain the pack we're opening for you has been authenticated. Below, notice the year, manufacturer, grader, and pack type. The key detail on the holder is the number on the bottom right; this is a unique certification number that can be verified on the PSA site.

When a pack is not authenticated by PSA, our owner, Leighton Sheldon, provides his expert opinion to ensure each pack is authentic and sealed. Leighton has purchased thousands of collections in the last 25+ years. In total, Leighton has purchased and sold 50 million dollars in collections! Leighton owns our sister company, Just Collect. You may also recognize Leighton from his expert advice on American Pickers.
How respected in the industry is Leighton? Here he is sitting down with PSA CEO, Nat Turner on his podcast, Trading Card Therapy:
Leighton has also opened up packs with well-known hobby titans including Gary Vaynerchuk:
Geoff Wilson of Sports Card Invester also opened a pack of cards with Leighton:
If you have any questions regarding a sealed pack or box, we would love to assist! Don't get a box full of G.I. Joe packs. As cool as the show was when we were kids, the cards aren't worth 3.5 million dollars. Read below to see how you can contact us today.

Where else may you find sealed, authentic wax packs besides our breaks? Auction houses such as Heritage and Lelands. Other places like Baseball Card Exchange has a wide variety to choose from. Baseball Card Exchange (BBCE) offers sealed packs, boxes, and cases going back to the 1950's! Even though the company has "baseball" in their title, all sports and non-sports are avaialble. At BBCE, you can often find 1986-87 Fleer basekball wax packs to hunt Micahel Jordan rookies, 1981 Topps boxes to chase Joe Montana rookie cards, and 1980-81 Opee-Chee for that elusive Wayne Gretzky rookie card. BBCE also offers non-sports to take you back to the days of opening 1985 Topps Garbage Pail Kids!
The only drawback to purchasing your wax at auction houses and stores is the pricing. You can expect to pay a great deal more when purchasing a full pack or box at an auction or store than you would for a break as you need to buy the entire pack or box. Auction houses and stores like BBCE don't offer spots into breaks like Vintage Breaks does. Here at Vintage Breaks, we offer spots in the pack; everyone takes home a card! Your chance at the chase card for a fraction of the cost for a full pack.
