The 1960 Topps baseball set has such cool design. The base cards feature a colorful photograph of each player with a smaller, black and white picture side by side. The player names are below with alternating colors for each letter. All-star cards have the year (60) behind behind each player. Rookie cards have a a few layout variations.  The first card you can see in the top left is a "base" card of Willie Mays with his name in yellow and white characters. You can see the rookie card layouts in the middle row with the top middle card being a rookie of Willie McCovey and just below is a rookie of Carl Yastrzemski. Staying in the middle row, you can see an All-Star card at the bottom with the number 60 behind Mickey Mantle. The cards you see above are the exact cards that will be in this set break!

Highlights include:

  • Mickey Mantle graded ISA 2.5
  • Mickey Mantle All-Star graded ISA 7
  • Carl Yastrzemski rookie card graded ISA 6
  • Willie McCovey rookie card graded ISA 5.5
  • Hank Aaron graded ISA 6
  • Hank Aaron All-Star graded ISA 6.5
  • Willie Mays graded ISA 5
  • Ernie Banks graded ISA 6.5
  • Yogi Berra graded ISA 7
  • Sandy Koufax graded ISA 5.5
  • Roberto Clemente graded ISA 6.5
  • Brooks Robinson graded ISA 7

As there are 572 cards in the set, only 572 spots in the break will be sold - this ensures that you will take home a card from the set. The list of name is always randomized LIVE on the show as the break occurs; you have the same chance as everyone else in the break to land the cards you desire. For example - If you land on spot #350 after the random, you will take home card #350, Mickey Mantle!

The inclusion of All-Star cards in the 1960 set gives you an extra chance a vintage card from a Hall of Famer or star. A few of the players with All-Star cards in the set are Mickey Mantle, Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Al Kaline, Eddie Matthews, Roger Maris, and Ernie Banks. There are two big rookie cards in this set with the McCovey and Yaz rookie cards. McCovey is in the 500 Home Run Club and Yaz in the 3,000 Hit Club. Each are first-ballot Hall of Famers.

Take home card of the Boys of Summer. Back when Chubby Checker had you doing the Twist in June of 1960, you felt bad for Mr. Wilson in Dennis the Menace, maybe you told your parents you went to see Swiss Family Robinson at the theatre but really snuck in to see Psycho, and the price of gas was 31 cents per gallon (imagine that...)
